Get in touch with your inner creative and learn how to make one-of-a-kind cakes at these moreish cake decorating classes in Sydney! Learn new baking skills from passionate experts and build up the confidence to make anything your heart desires! With the help of experienced bakers and pastry masters, you won’t have to worry about runny icing, lopsided layers or melting flowers ever again. Get creative in the kitchen with cake decorating courses – they’re one of the top things to do in Sydney!
Cake decorating for beginners
Cake decorating is one of those skills that can intimidate baking beginners. The pros make it look effortless. You might think it’s as easy as whipping up some buttercream icing on a cake and smoothing it out for a clean, professional look, right? Well, if you’ve ever tried cake decorating at home, you’ve probably realised that it’s not as easy as it looks. A chef at a cake decorating shop likely has years of experience that lead to the perfect rainbow cake with the unbelievable unicorn cake topper. Many pastry chefs have gone through rigorous professional training to be able to pull off a chocolate drip cake. Of course, you don’t see the years of hard work in a short DIY cake decorating video, which can make the process absolutely confuddling when you try it at home.
But don’t give up yet! You don’t have to become a professional pastry chef to improve your decorating skills. In fact, short cake decorating courses may be just what you need to start making professional-looking cakes right at home. The key is to find the cake decorating pros who are willing to share their secrets, and ClassBento has gathered the best cake decorating teachers in Sydney to do just that. By enrolling in the best cake decorating classes in Sydney, you’ll be well on your way to wowing your friends and family with your cake decorating shop window creations.
What to expect at cake decorating classes in Sydney
Whether you’re interested in making tasty cupcakes or the perfect chocolate drip cake, there are plenty of cake classes for you to choose from. In a beginners cake decorating class, you’ll cover the basics of smooth, professional buttercream icing work and learn how to make edible cake toppers. Or, you might opt for vegan cake classes to challenge your use of veggie-based ingredients. There are cake decorating courses at a variety of times and in different parts of the city so that you never run out of fun things to do in Sydney.
Because everyone loves cake, cake decorating classes are popular for a variety of occasions. Cake decorating workshops are some of the best kids activities Sydney has to offer, and they’re also relaxing things to do in Sydney at night if you’re looking to unwind after work. Or, get a group of friends together for an upcoming hen’s party or birthday party. Cake decorating courses are even fun things to do in Sydney for couples especially if you’re looking for experience gifts in Sydney for a partner with a taste for desserts.
Unlike formal cake decorating courses, these friendly workshops are relaxing and engaging. Your lively cake decorating instructor will tell you all the tips and secrets of cake decorating that have kept you in the realm of homemade-looking cakes. Then, you’ll be able to apply your newfound knowledge by decorating a cake of your own. It’s not every workshop that you get to bring home an entire cake to enjoy, which makes these classes some of the most unique experiences Sydney has hiding up its sleeve.
Cake decorating is great for your wellbeing
Okay, we’ll admit that if you’re looking for a physically healthy hobby, taking home a whole cake to eat isn’t exactly great for your blood sugar levels. But, once you become better at cake decorating, you’ll realise that it’s not just about the cake. Cake decorating is a calming, focused activity that will leave you feeling proud when you’re finished. And, you’ll love baking homemade cakes for all of your loved one’s special events. If you’re looking for a hobby that will make you feel fulfilled and connected, this sweet activity is perfect. Just make sure you have friends and family to help you eat the finished product.
Custom classes
Want to learn or experience something specific? You can easily contact our teachers and arrange a custom workshop at your preferred time and to suit your skill level.
If you’re looking for a unique and memorable event these workshops are perfect things to do with friends on the weekend, for aged care groups, team building exercises, indoor things to do, and kids weekend activities. We've got a range of teachers who cater specifically to larger events, and we can customise classes to meet your needs. Get in touch today and we'll put something together for you.
