Looking for fun pottery classes in Brisbane? This clay and sip class is the perfect way to enjoy a night of sculpting, pinch potting and sipping with instructor Jenna!

You will take home two to four small pieces, nice and easy to carry home.

During this beginner-friendly workshop and art class, you’ll learn basic skills like hatching, sticking together and shaping forms and will sculpt using air-drying clay. You will follow along with an artist instructing a demo at the front and receive one-on-one guidance and assistance as needed.

But it’s also all about having fun, so if you want to do your own things and just embrace the experience of something new, you can do that too!

We will be working with air drying clay which means you can take it home and let it dry and after around 24 to 48 hours you can paint your creations yourself later however you feel with watercolours, acrylics or poster paints.

You could even paint resin over it to make it waterproof! This is a great idea for friends, hens parties, work parties, team building activities, birthdays or just to experience something new!

You will be able to craft something beautiful to take home and display proudly and enjoy a few glasses of your favourite beverage too!

Couldn’t find it. When I rang, teacher didn’t answer phone or check messages. No instructions or particular technique or product. Not enough clay or utensils to to make anything worthwhile

We had such a great time! Jenna was a great teacher and helped with everything we needed while still giving us autonomy to do our own thing! We didn’t have much artist experience but the ideas Jenna have helped to point us in the right direction. Very happy with this class and our pieces. Thank you Jenna!

So much fun! Great size class and Jenna was lovely. Would love to come back soon :)

Kay Campbell Sep 2021

Enjoyable night playing with clay. Virtually no instructions or suggestions given except for a laminated sheet of pictures of clay things. Would have preferred more guidance and offer to glaze and fire our creations.

Kathryn Rostirolla Sep 2021

All in all, we all had a great time. There was 11 of us with a mixture of manly men, artsy women’s and all the bits in between. Everyone got a chance to ask questions or ask for help if they needed. The 2 hour session was split into 2 sections. The first section was mostly guided by Jenna on how to make relatively the same thing which was a good starting point then the 2nd hour we got to make our own things. Would recommend :)

Fun night with friends! Easy going environment! And no pressure to be the best! Thanks

Nuria Köppel Jul 2021

We had a great evening among friends, it was easy to bring snacks and drinks and it was nice to be doing something while chatting. Good atmosphere, nice location.

However, given the cost of the class, I do not think much was offered at all. While helpful and very friendly, the guidance and inspiration of the instructor was minimal. We did not learn anything and the pieces we created could have been produced with material everyone has at home & some clay which is very inexpensive.

Jenna, the instructor was lovely. Very sweet, accommodating and responsive to queries (there were many!)

The venue was a multi- purpose arts space in the cbd, so easy to get to by public transport. Parking however is difficult around the venue which made it a bit tricky with dropping and picking things up! But we made it work!

The venue had pretty much everything we needed (fridges, glasses etc) Champagne flutes might be a nice addition.

Further more, supplied aprons (disposable or reusable would be great)

We booked this for a hens do and overall I think it was a huge success. The girls all seemed to enjoy themselves!

Compared to other pottery options it was definitely the most affordable available, so value for money wise we were very pleased.

Thanks again class Bento and Jenna!

A fun and simple class! Jenna was patient and had plenty of time to help step us through the bowl-making process as well as a few different fundamental skills. My daughter and I really enjoyed the free form part of the class where we were able to make whatever we wanted under Jenna's guidance and helpful hand! Came away with some lovely pieces and memories that we will cherish. Thank you!

Place a little hard to find but calling the teacher and meeting her out the front was great.
Fantastic instruction, great night, lovely space and in love with my creations.
Teacher friendly and knowledgeable. Would have been good to have been told about how the clay takes to dry, I would have asked but didn’t think about it until I got home.

Katie Hall Jun 2021

My friend and I had a great time getting creative with the clay! As we left, we agreed we'd definitely be back soon. The card stickers provided at the end were so adorable and such a lovely touch. Thanks for holding a great workshop!

Aimee Ferrie Jun 2021

We had a really fun night! All the materials are provided, including a little box to take your pottery home in, and Jenna was super friendly, lovely and helpful. You get guidance on technique but freedom to essentially make what you want (including mildly disturbing frog figurines). Hot tip: don't immediately drink the water on the table that's meant for the clay and then use the cup for aloe vera juice. Not that I know anyone dumb enough to do this, of course.
Anyway, 10/10 would recommend for a cute date or friend and family activity!

Amazing Jenna who helped us girls with all our little needs. Was fantastic venue and the atmosphere made it all the more fun ! Thank you so much I will be back for more ❤ Jun 2021

Good fun. Very little instruction, I know we arrived late, but no actual skills were explained or taught at all. Your table is given a laminated sheet, and go for gold. Bit more guidance would be nice.

Jade Campbell Apr 2021

Jenna was a brilliant host and instructor - as a beginner to pottery all I knew was there would be clay involved.
She took us through the steps on how to make a vase and then helped us individually with our own pieces.

The class was great value for money! I will 100% be recommending this to other people (I’d do it again myself but, as it turns out, I am TERRIBLE at pottery)
