What you'll do
Grab a friend for a two-and-a-half-hour creative evening in the Art Est ceramics studio making your own handmade quirky little monsters. Led by expert ceramicist David Edmonds, this two-and-a-half-hour session is designed for beginner artists.
During the class, you'll have the opportunity to unleash your inner monster (or perhaps someone else's) through the therapeutic process of sculpting with clay. It's a chance to let your imagination run wild and bring your own unique creations to life.
No experience is required and all materials are included. You will be introduced to basic clay hand building techniques to make your monster. Be prepared to get addicted!
Please note:
- Your sculpture will be bisque-fired and then we’ll add the layer of food-safe, waterproof glaze and fire them a second time (glaze fired), ready to be collected about three weeks after your class.
- Please be aware that we may need to postpone a class if we do not get enough numbers.

Beginners welcome. No previous experience is necessary.
What you'll get
All materials for one sculpture and firing is included in the workshop: clay, bisque firing, glaze and glaze firing.
What to bring
- Inspirational images and your sense of humour.
- Bring an apron and your inner monster. You’re welcome to bring along some drinks and nibbles and we’ll provide the glasses.
- Please wear clothes you feel comfortable in and don’t mind getting dirty. Clay and underglaze will wash out.

This class is great for individuals and couples as well as for a team building activity, birthday or hens party.
Suitable for adults, and kids (minimum 14 years old).
