Looking for hands-on woodworking courses in Sydney? Learn the essentials of picture framing with our woodworking class in Marrickville!
This workshop is for people with no experience in framing pictures and is designed to teach you the skills and confidence to create a variety of different frame styles using simple tools and second-hand timber.
You will be able to customise your frames to accommodate an A5 print (210mm x 150mm).
Once completed, you will be able to complete your own frame projects at home. There will also be the opportunity in future to use bench space at Among The Trees to work on picture framing projects.
This course is open to students 13 and older. Among The Trees accepts students under 18 in two groups:
- Students 13-15 years of age must attend all courses with a parent or guardian. This parent or guardian must also purchase a place in the course and take part. One parent/guardian is able to attend with multiple students.
- Students 16-17 years of age may attend a course without a parent or guardian present.
You can read our full Child Safe Policy on the booking page.
Please note:

This course is for those with little to no experience and looking for an introduction to the craft. The course is run using predominantly hand tools so students need to be aware that there is an element of physicality involved and most of the work is carried out standing up.
We aim to make the courses as inclusive and accessible as possible, people living with a disability should notify ClassBento so that the appropriate accommodations can be made.
