In this class, you'll have the opportunity to breathe life to discarded materials with the art of weaving. No previous experience is necessary - this class is perfect for beginners!
Find beauty in objects that have been discarded and learn how to rework and reweave them into intricate and beautiful pieces. Using natural and found reuse resources, you'll discover how to weave within an abstract form. It's a meditative afternoon of crafting that allows you to explore your artistic side and create something truly unique.
Hosted by Reverse Garbage, the experts in creative reuse since 1975, this workshop is part of Sydney Craft Week. Their mission is to inspire everyone to make reuse their first choice, and this weaving class is the perfect opportunity to do just that. The classes will be held in the amazing education spaces at KIMBRIKI Resource Recovery Centre.
By the end of the class, you'll have not only learned the skill of weaving, but you'll also have a beautiful creation to take home with you. It's a transformative experience that allows you to give new life to old materials and create something truly special.
