Description

Come and learn to slip cast in my Marrickville Studio!

All supplies including Australian porcelain, plaster, pigments, tools, firing and glazes will be provided, as well as wine and snacks. The class will suit anyone wanting to try their hand at mould making and if you are interested in casting with porcelain!

In the first class I'll give an intro to slip casting and a mould making demonstration, then you will have the opportunity to make your own simple one piece mould. The following week, we will cast with white and coloured Australian porcelain as well as try a variety of underglazes and decoration techniques. The final week is a shorter session where you have the opportunity to cast a third piece, and glaze your other pieces. I will then fire the work which will be ready to be collected in the following weeks.

Come with a pal and enjoy the wonderful world of ceramics! The first two run from 6.30pm - 8.45 pm and the third is a shorter glazing session from 6.30pm - 8pm. Please only book if you are able to make all three dates of that workshop.
