Join us in this fun and highly interactive cooking workshop in Perth, to prepare your own freshly hand-made Italian pasta!

It's time to get messy. In this beginner-friendly pasta making workshop, you will learn with your partner how to use a pasta machine and see how satisfying and fun it is to make your own fresh homemade green and white pasta. This is such a great and valuable skill, is easy and most importantly, so much fun!

The Cooking Professor's Chef Riki will prepare her own precooked delicious 'carbonara' and 'bolognese classics' pasta sauces to be served and enjoy with your own pasta creations along with a side of bruschetta.

At the beginning of your hands-on cooking workshop, all participants will team-up to pairs. During the workshop, you will all follow the same recipes selected by our friendly and highly experienced chef Riki Kaspi, to prepare and enjoy the delicious tastings of your own handmade pasta!

We are fully BYO and do provide glassware if needed (for large groups we ask that you bring an Esky as fridge space is limited).

Please note: If you buy the class as a gift for someone, try to use the recipient's email when booking so that they don't miss out on important emails. If you'd prefer not to use their email, make sure you forward them all of the important information.

What to bring
You don't need to bring anything. We supply everything you need, including your ingredients, aprons and recipes.

Please wear flat, enclosed shoes and we recommend comfortable clothes.

All of The Cooking Professor classes are BYO (alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, water and glassware are provided)

Discover the joys of cooking in our fun, interactive learning environment at our culinary school in Perth! When you join one of our cooking classes, you join a small team and everyone focuses on making a different dish under the guidance of the instructor. After preparing your dish and learning some new recipes, we all sit down to share the food in a massive feast!

Our three-hour cooking classes in Perth have you cooking for two hours in our open-plan kitchen and we keep our groups small so you get plenty of one-on-one time with the instructor to ask questions, learn tips and tricks, and of course meet new people! We also cater for groups with our Corporate and Private Events – just ask! Our experienced instructors ensure you have a fun time in your food class, regardless of your age or skill level.

To answer your comments.

Too many people
* Workshops are always in groups of 18 guests.
Our cooking classes are in smaller groups of 14 guests.

Sauces bland
*As explained and shown in class, each couple is shown to cook each of their own pasta created to finish with sauces and adding seasoning to their own dishes.

Crowded.
*each couple had their own turns to use and make their pasta and cook to avoid crowding and safety for each one.

instructions
*as explained in the beginning of class. Recipes will be sent via email and experience the cooking by using senses feeling the pasta . And learning through textures and tastes.

Needed more pots on stove for pasta

*will provide more pots as this limited pot ensures guidance and the cooking process is always guided by myself in a safe manner.

We had pasta making with Sonny. He was very informative on the pasta making and we felt like we learnt form this. However when it came to then feeding the pasta through the machines this was disappointing as the first machine my friend had was faulty and confirmed after much fiddling about by Sonny. We then had to wait for others to finish before we could make our noodles ( this was another thing I was surprised there were not enough machines per 2 people). When we finally got to a machine this was also a little problematic but after trials we managed to get it done. All others were eating by this time and felt a little rushed as it was near closing time.
All in all we loved it and would recommend it to others. The only thing is for the money paid it might be a good idea to ensure equipment is in working condition and enough for all to use.

A very relaxing and enjoyable evening after a day of work. The teacher Riki really made all the difference: she was fun, cultured, cute, welcoming, energetic and passionate. Definitely going to buy and use a pasta maker at home after this class. Don’t forget to byo wine to drink whilst waiting for your pasta to cook!

Fantastic class! Riki is a great teacher and just a fun person. I really enjoyed learning to make pasta, it's given me the confidence to try it myself at home. Great to learn little tips and tricks which can be hard to do if you are just following a recipe. Well done for a great class.
