Yesterday I had the most wonderful time at the Book Binding Workshop at Zetta Florence in Fitzroy! I created my very first handmade A5 sketchbook, and I’m honestly thrilled with how it turned out. The covers and endpapers were made using some of the stunning decorative papers available in the shop — it was hard to choose, they’re all so beautiful A huge thank you to Charlotte for organisingYesterday I had the most wonderful time at the Book Binding Workshop at Zetta Florence in Fitzroy! Gold Charm Bar and Workshop: Design Your Own Jewellery
This was such a great evening out! The whole environment was inviting with mood lighting and we all got to explore the options for ages before sitting own and creating either a charm bracelet or necklace. We got to choose the thickness of chain and there was so many charms to choose from! The end result was fantastic and I would do this class again!

Vintage Teacup Candle Making Class with High Tea
Michelle our teacher was lovely. Her knowledge and passion were great. Learnt lots made two beautiful candies in teacups which I loved. Chose colour of candle fragrance and decorations. Wonderful gift - included delicious high tea - and got to meet another lovely lady doing the class as well. Setting at Samford was Devine too

Blacksmithing Class for Beginners
This was an amazing experience! I bought this for my husband for his birthday and not only did he enjoy the course but they did a cake. The customer service here is phenomenal and the experience itself was straight forward, very well run and Nick, the teacher, was knowledgeable, patient and just a great human being. Highly highly recommend this great experience!

What a morning filled with new learnings about bookbinding, paper qualities, sewing techniques, best placement for covers, and endleaf - all in a gorgeous (and warm!) space. Thoroughly enjoyed every minute and took home a solid and beautiful trophy book. I couldn't believe how well it came together in 3 short hours, mind you, I could have kept going! Highly recommend.

Purchased this Turkish lamp mosaic class for an outing for mum and my sister to do together. Was great to switch off from life and attempt some fun art. The venue was ok, it did have close parking near by and modern amenities but the room itself was small and offered little airflow for the strong glue fumes which in the end had me wanting to hurry and finish. The quality of the items used and actualPurchased this Turkish lamp mosaic class for an outing for mum and my sister to do together. Was great to switch off from life and attempt some fun art. The quality of the items used and actual lamp accessories were fantastic with a wide range of colours to choose from. The initial explanation on how to complete the lamp was lacking a little, perhaps an example of a finished lamp, photos of different patterns and further instructions on steps would have been handy. The teacher was lovely to chat to and gave the room a calm feel. Overall I was satisfied with the end product, maybe some traditional Turkish music playing in the background could help also when doing the lesson in a shared office space environment. Artificial Flower Arranging Workshop
A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon of bubbles, delectable charcuterie boards and of course the flower arranging. The vibe was warm and friendly. The host and owner Stacey, and her colleagues Liz and Maddie, are so knowledgeable of their craft. They assisted each participant individually with the assembly of their chosen arrangement, instructing us along the way. We then had the option to make second,A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon of bubbles, delectable charcuterie boards and of course the flower arranging. The vibe was warm and friendly. The host and owner Stacey, and her colleagues Liz and Maddie, are so knowledgeable of their craft. They assisted each participant individually with the assembly of their chosen arrangement, instructing us along the way. We then had the option to make second, smaller arrangement to compliment our masterpiece, or alternatively, we could create our own from scratch. There was plenty of room for everyone in their showroom and it was a great atmosphere working surrounded by all the lovey flowers. I highly recommend this workshop. + more

Asian Inspired Duck Cooking Class
Such a great experience! Nick was a great teacher, we learnt a lot about different techniques for cooking duck but the best part was definitely sampling all the food at the end. Simple to follow recipes and delicious flavours!

Make Your Own Kurinuki Pottery Cup Workshop
I cannot recommend Daniel’s studio enough. He is a kind, inclusive, calm, and knowledgeable instructor. The classes are very reasonably priced and are appropriate for all experience and skill levels. My friend and I attended one of Daniel’s Kurinuki classes and the group was small, kind, quiet, and friendly, and we were able to take our time and make our mugs the way we wanted and there was noI cannot recommend Daniel’s studio enough. He is a kind, inclusive, calm, and knowledgeable instructor. The classes are very reasonably priced and are appropriate for all experience and skill levels. My friend and I attended one of Daniel’s Kurinuki classes and the group was small, kind, quiet, and friendly, and we were able to take our time and make our mugs the way we wanted and there was no pressure to conform to a certain artistic process or product, which was just excellent, especially for those of us who prefer free-ranging creativity to structured production. He also coached us so well that we were both DELIGHTED with the mugs we had produced, which is really saying something as we both struggle with perfectionism! Daniel encourages uniqueness and creativity from all attendees and is genuinely gifted at empowering his students. PS: I would personally recommend this option to those looking for a super fun activity that’s also safe for attendees who may be more cautious about trying new and unpredictable activities. I attended this class in part to investigate the practicality of using pottery classes as a corporate wellbeing resource, and after attending, I would personally recommend Daniel’s classes to anyone looking for a suitable experience for someone who has social anxiety, sensory sensitivity, or similar over-stimulation vulnerability. The class was in a controlled, indoor space that did not feel claustrophobic nor overly exposed, the light in the room was natural and not overstimulating, the temperature was pleasant, the noise levels were limited (both in terms of background noise and speaking volume from Daniel and the other 5 students), and Daniel never interrupted his students, spoke with urgency, or criticised his students. He was very clear and deliberate with safety measures, gave timely and clear instructions, and used control movements in demonstrations that were very easy to follow. He was very respectful of all attendees and never entered their personal space unless they requested his assistance, but he was still intentional in keeping an eye on us all to make sure we weren’t accidentally ruining our pieces. If we started to make a mistake, he would speak softly and in a very kind tone to suggest a different method, but didn’t push or demand change. Students were definitely enabled to freely and safely explore their own processes in a controlled environment. 10/10 stars for Daniel and his lovely studio. + more
