Beeswax Wraps and Cutlery Bag Workshop

Learn how to make your own cutlery rolls and beeswax food wraps from scratch

3 hours Class size 4 to 10 label $50

Want to do your bit to save the planet? Come along to our sustainability workshop where we will show you step-by-step how to make your own cutlery rolls and beeswax food wraps from scratch!

This workshop is perfect for beginners and all materials will be provided. During this three-hour workshop, we will share ideas for ways in which you can change your day by day habits to have a more environmentally friendly lifestyle. Let’s ditch single-use plastic for good!

Beeswax food wraps are a reusable, washable and sustainable alternative to single-use plastic and cling wrap. Cutlery bags are a way great way to allow you to take your cutlery with you everywhere, no longer needing plastic sets! Please bring a set of cutlery (spoon, fork, knife, chopstick, straw etc.) so we can make sure they fit in your little bag.

This class will be hosted by Bruna Del Carlo and Jennie Douglas, both of whom work in costume design for films and TV. Our events are BYO (bring your own), so if you would like to bring your own snacks, wine or drink, please feel free and we will have glasses available. The workshop will be a small group of six people so don't miss out.

At the end of this sustainability-focused workshop, you will leave with three different sizes of beeswax wraps and your own cutlery bag and napkin. As well as this, you will have learned some basics sewing skills and will gain lots of sustainability tips.
