Begin by mixing a batch of Jesmonite to make your own coloured chips. Jesmonite is an eco-friendly resin without harmful VOCs. When cured, it has a similar feel to a ceramic, pottery or cement object, the plus side is it doesn't need to go in the kiln and you can take it away on the same day!
Once you've decided on the colours for your project, you'll mix the pigments into the Jesmonite and pour it onto a piece of foil, spread it thin, and give it a few minutes to cure.
Whilst your Jesmonite colour is curing, you'll have time to browse pre-made chip colours and sparkles to add to your project. Once your chip colour has cured, you'll peel it away from the foil and crunch it up into small chips – everyone's most favourite part!
The next part of the class will see everyone mixing a fresh batch of Jesmonite to fill the entire mould. You'll incorporate your terrazzo chips, and pour the contents into the mould. We'll leave it to set for 30 minutes. In the meantime, you can sit back, relax, and enjoy your BYO beverage.
To finish, you'll have the option to sand your creation to expose more colours, or leave it as is.

This class is intended for participants over the age of 18.
No previous experience necessary, beginners welcome.
