What you'll do
Experience the joy of printmaking using gel plates in this hands-on workshop for kids aged 8 to 12. Play with colour, layers, and paper to create your own unique prints. Discover the tactility of texture and stencils to make one-of-a-kind artworks. Kids will have the chance to create their own stencils and use our range of shape, typographic, and botanical stencils. This playful and approachable workshop is the perfect introduction to printmaking, offering skills your child can continue to explore at home.Warning: Gelli Plate Printmaking is addictive!Your child will take home an album of all their finished prints along with collage papers.Our workshop is designed for kids aged 8 to 12 years of age. All materials and tools will be provided, and the class will be structured to accommodate varying skill levels and interests.BYO lunch, snacks, or any other dietary needs. Due to allergies, we discourage sending foods that contain nuts. Please let us know when you arrive if your child has any medical conditions that we need to be aware of.Our space is secure and not open to people who have not booked into a workshop. All teachers have a valid Working with Children Check that can be shown upon request.Parents need to drop off children in person and complete the admission and release form that will indemnify Made by Me Workshop from any claims or liability related to any accidents that occur while participating in any of our kids workshops.We believe craft is as much about creativity as it is about connection, so in our workshops, your child will have the opportunity to meet new friends and enjoy learning some new skills away from their screens. Kids will learn new skills they can apply to future fun projects outside of class. Class sizes are always kept small so that they enjoy hands-on assistance while they learn and create.Sadly, we cannot accept Creative Kids Vouchers at this time.

Made by Me Workshop is about helping people to connect with their "inner creative" and have some fun while making beautiful things from quality materials in our friendly & vibrant studio space in the heart of the inner west!Established in 2017 after Rebecca Doyle decided to take a career break and chose to revisit her childhood love for arts & crafts. Rebecca grew up in a large family where money was tight, after school activities where mostly homegrown and usually involved a sheet of cardboard, a glue stick and some glitter!
