In this Korean cooking class in Melbourne, you will join chef June Yi as you master classic Korean dishes and learn to cook with a focus on balancing the five flavours: sweet, salty, spice, sour and bitter as well as: colour, texture, temperature, spiciness and presentation.
This is June's first class with Brunswick Kitchen! You will learn how to make:

- Goochujang Sauce. Dishes will be paired with the Korean rice wine, Soju.
This is a beginner-friendly cooking class with a trained chef on board to offer guidance, demo's and tips and tricks! At the end of the class, you'll get to eat everything you make.
Meet our new chef, June Yi: June has the restaurant business running in her veins. She spent her childhood in her Grandmother’s Chinese restaurant and her parent’s seafood restaurant in the Korean river province of Gangwon. And on days off, the family would come together and share the cooking of elaborate family feasts. After four years of running a successful bistro in Seoul, June emigrated to Australia and pursued further culinary studies at Le Cordon Bleu. While working at a Melbourne international hotel, she met her husband, who brought his own rich Indian culinary traditions to the relationship, and she has since studied Indian cuisine under his and his parents’ guidance. June has one daughter who loves eating her Indian curry with a side of Kim Chi.
