In this festive MoonCake Season, learn how to bake your own!

In this class we will cover the making of two different mooncake pastries and two types of fillings using contemporary flavours.

Also the moulding baking and finishing of the moon cakes and everyone will take their own home.

This class is delivered by our Head of Pastry & Creative Director Tiffany Jones.

Made nontraditional, contemporary mooncakes in an open kitchen at the lovely venue, Cielo Dessert Co.

Coffee and tea was offered on arrival by cool and friendly staff. Once my group had all arrived the teacher gave us the recipe for her contemporary mooncake, and she ran us through some of the ingredients, trial and error (things she realised during her career - what works and what doesn't), and the steps.
During this, we asked freely any questions we had and she was extremely helpful and knowledgable! Then we got started with the baking. As we proceeded, there were some more questions regarding ingredients and this was answered by a food scientist who is a member of staff! This was super cool.

The lesson was in an open kitchen so it felt like we were working there - this was very fun, it was a unique experience.

The venue was beautiful - modern/contemporary. The lighting and colour schemes of the venue worked magic for our photos. Music was also great - chilled music, love songs, ballads - worked perfectly with the space.

This was most certainly a good value for money. We had a lot of fun learning new skills and being creative with the decorations of our own mooncakes!

All in all a great session. Cool, friendly, and knowledgable teacher and staff. Pretty venue with good music and overall a good vibe.
