Jose has an impressive background in fine dining, serving as Head Chef of Guillaume Brahimi’s award-winning Opera House restaurant Bennelong for 12 years, before taking over the famous Sweet Belem---specialising in Portuguese cakes and pastries (including the undisputed best custard tarts in Sydney!)

Beyond that, he certainly knows his seafood! Jose is owner and founder of a much-loved seafood restaurant and takeaway FICH in Petersham. Most recently, Jose and his wife have opened a modern Portuguese diner also in the heart of Petersham---named Lunas after their daughter.
