Indian cuisine is the one cuisine where you can’t hide behind butter, cream or other rich ingredients to compensate for flavour. Mastering the art of spices takes years of learning and practice and expertise.

The right combinations with the right quantities, cooked in the right oil under the right heat, roasted to the right temperature, ground to the right consistency. With so much to learn, join Australia's expert in Indian cooking where she will teach you how to use a plethora of exotic spices to create authentic, unforgettable dishes.

Master the art of spices, cooking with tender meats and spice laced gravies made using your home-delivered spice kit with premium aged basmati rice and the teacher's special blend of spices and those that you will roast and grind yourself.

You will also learn how to create the perfect rice pilaf and accompaniments from start to end.

Heavenly Morsel’s signature tandoori spice blend uses over 20 ingredients (spices will be complimentarily couriered to you) and is the real deal, authentic and coveted. The secret recipe is yours to have!

We have a rotating menu of over 100 authentic mouthwatering dishes, so if you have a particular dish or protein you would like to cook with please let us know and we will try our best to accommodate this.

Please note:
  • A charcoal BBQ is highly recommended for the class but if you don’t have one that is fine. Please try to get a small piece of charcoal from Bunnings or equivalent.
  • Please let your teacher know about any food intolerances or allergies so they can accommodate your request.

What you'll need
Your teacher will be in contact after you book with a list of the ingredients and kitchen equipment you need to source for your online cooking experience.

Classes will take place via Zoom with Tanya Carneiro, Australia's expert in Indian cooking and cooking teacher as the live instructor. You will need access to an Internet device with a camera and microphone.

Before I was able to walk or talk, I have been mastering the art of Regional Indian Cooking & seafood under my Grandmother’s wing. This is why Heavenly Morsel is built on centuries of authenticity & skill.

Nana Lucy was a famous cook in her coastal town, having people come from far and wide to taste her signature cuisine & exquisite seafood. Her head-turning recipes & teachings are my family jewel, passed down many generations – true Portuguese-Indian food. A hidden gem cuisine like no other.

I proudly created Heavenly Morsel Melbourne, with the vision of bringing authentic Regional Indian cooking into the spotlight, through bespoke luxurious class settings where one can relax & be taken on a mouthwatering culinary journey that awakens all five senses.

After dining at countless Indian restaurants, reading plenty of online recipes & attending numerous “Indian” cooking classes in Australia, I have been greatly disappointed at what was served or taught because there was no proper authenticity, unique selection or delicious showcasing of the true cuisine!
I could not believe how wrong this was. People were missing out on the skillful, healthy cuisine of Indian cooking!

Thus, I have come to realize that educating people on how to cook genuine sumptuous Indian food, the way you would find in Indian homes – has become a life goal.

The immense satisfaction I get when I see my students have a lightbulb moment tasting proper Indian food & see how proud they are of what they cook, is like no other feeling in this world.
