After lunch, let the drinking commence with a fun paint and sip class. Wine and painting classes are one of the most popular hen party ideas Australia-wide. With both in-person and online classes to choose from, you’ll be able to include all your guests in this laid back class. Frequently Asked Questions

What’s trending for hens parties in 2026?

Hens parties in 2026 are shifting towards a more low-key party style, with wellness weekends away, ‘girls gone mild’ celebrations and fun crafty workshops with little or no alcohol gaining popularity. The focus is less on drinking all day and more on doing something fun together.

What normally happens at a hen party?

Usually, a hens party is organised by the maid of honour and can include family, friends and all the bridesmaids. Depending on the plan, the bride’s share is usually covered by everyone else so she doesn’t have to pay.
Transport to and from the festivities is often organised, too, with the party starting as soon as everyone arrives.
There’s generally a welcome, some fun party games and sometimes a few take-home goodies to wrap things up.
A fun craft activity can make a great addition to a hens day itinerary and is an easy way to break the ice.

How easy is it to organise a hen party with ClassBento?

Start by finding an experience that suits your group, then check the listing for a private class section. This will tell you whether the teacher offers private bookings and the minimum and maximum number of guests they can accommodate.
To request a private class, click the ‘Request’ button and add your preferred dates and times, number of guests, any questions and other details about your hens party. The teacher will then either accept the request or get in touch to organise a suitable time.
Once the teacher has accepted the booking, you’ll receive a booking link to complete your payment. Once you’ve paid, your booking is confirmed.

What are some classy vs wild ideas for a hens party?

For a classy hens party, look for low-key, creative activities where the experience itself becomes the focus. Flower arranging, beading and candle making are all fun options, with little or no alcohol needed.
If you’re after something a little wilder, there are plenty of cheekier options too. Look for experiences featuring hosts such as firemen or drag queens, or activities involving nudity, risqué objects or plenty of laughs. Cocktail making, life drawing and pottery where you can make cheeky creations can all turn up the heat.
