Looking for fun indoor activities to try this weekend? Get creative in the kitchen with spice mistress Sarina Kamini's online vegetarian cooking class with spices and discover the art of curating your own spice mix to add a touch more flavour to your favourite dishes!

In this workshop, you will be guided through the step-by-step process of learning to understand seven foundational spices by expert Sarina. You will begin with raw spice tastings and learn about the use and purpose of each spice when cooking. You'll also learn about the main aromatic categories and then blend some of your own spices.

After your spice blending session, you'll get the chance to make three vegetarian dishes, a slow-cooked spiced tagine, spiced fried potato balls and vegetable samosa filling. Get in touch with your inner chef and learn new ways to roast vegetables, create unique spice profiles and use various oils for different dishes, all while understanding the spirit of spice and how it can totally change your cooking.

Sink your hands into something new and learn new skills that you can use every day with this online cooking class. Not only will you get the chance to spend some quality time with loved ones at home doing something new, but you'll feel creatively inspired and more connected to like-minded people too!

A career as a food and culture writer in Paris, Los Angeles, Melbourne and Barcelona - combined with homes in Bangalore and New Delhi - means Sarina brings a world of culinary understanding from her current home in Margaret River, Western Australia, into your kitchen. Sarina writes and films her spice world for SBS Food, along with sharing her insights on ClassBento and her own social media channels.

As a Spice Mistress, Sarina hears the song of spice and translates that for her students, teaching how to use spice in all of your meals, every day. Spice isn't just for Indians or for Indian food. Spice is turmeric in scrambled eggs. Star anise in osso bucco. Ground fenugreek in chocolate fool. Spice is an entrance into health, storytelling and flavour and Sarina wants to share that world with you.
