Would highly recommend for beginnersWe did this class with my Mum as a birthday gift and had such a fantastic time! Brandon was a delightful teacher, he was so encouraging and gave some great pointers. Would highly recommend for beginners as well as people who already have a bit of experience drawing and painting. Thanks so much Brandon! + more

From the moment we arrived, Rémy was incredibly welcoming and created such a relaxing atmosphere, sitting around the fire and enjoying tea while we carved. Rémy was a fantastic teacher, guiding us through each step with patience, encouragement, and a genuine passion for the craft. What really stood out was how he went above and beyond to help my wife get started with wood carving beyond the class, recommending books, tools, and other resources she could use on her journey. The four hours absolutely flew by, and I was amazed at how well our spoons turned out by the end. It was a fun, rewarding, and memorable experience from start to finish. I would highly recommend this class to anyone interested in wood carving. You won't regret it! Thanks again Rémy. + more

Teacher went above and beyond to see we had a great time. Cannot recommend enough if you're thinking of attending. Great value for money - purchased as a birthday gift experience for two and was an amazing gift that we will get to enjoy for many years now. Cosy studio space was warm and comfy (and it was raining and freezing on the day). Genuinely surprised by how well the mosaic lamps turned out. You are making it and thinking 'i'm not sure how good this looks'. Finally, once you've grouted and cleaned and wiped and its dry, you get to see and enjoy the end result of your hard work; an amazing looking lamp that just blows you away. 10/10 class. Give it a go you won't be disapppointed. Thanks for the experience Artistic Vibes, we love our lamps!! + more

As someone who had no experience with the soap making process, the way that we were guided through the process was so supportive. She is so knowledgeable and loves to share that people. I love that the products used are all natural, and feel so great on the skin. I love to use them for ourselves and as gifts for friends and family. Would definitely recommend for all. + more
Father's Day Ideas Sydney
The best Father’s Day gifts for Dads in Sydney
Sydney dads are a diverse bunch—whether they’re city explorers, backyard BBQ kings, or creative souls, the city’s vibrant creative scene has something for every type of dad. Looking for Father’s Day gifts that go beyond the usual? Here’s how to make his day unforgettable with experiences that match his interests and your shared memories.
- For the foodie dad: Sydney’s cooking classes are a delicious way to celebrate. From mastering the art of sourdough baking to rolling perfect dumplings or grilling up gourmet BBQ, these hands-on experiences turn him into a kitchen pro while creating tasty memories. Bonus: you get to enjoy the fruits of his labour!
- For the creative dad: Sydney’s art scene is buzzing, and there are plenty of classes to unleash his inner artist. Think glassblowing workshops in Marrickville where he can craft stunning glass pieces, or mosaic classes in Darlinghurst for a colourful, hands-on challenge. Pottery studios in Neutral Bay also offer the chance to get his hands dirty and create functional or decorative art.
- For the outdoorsy dad: Combine his love of nature with learning. Photography workshops focused on Sydney’s iconic landscapes or urban street scenes can sharpen his eye and inspire new hobbies. Or surprise him with a woodworking course where he can craft practical outdoor furniture.
- For the dad who loves to unwind: Treat him to a whiskey or wine tasting session at one of Sydney’s boutique venues. These relaxed experiences offer great conversation and a chance to discover new favourites, perfect for a chilled Father’s Day.
No matter what your dad’s passions are, Sydney’s local experiences provide unique and memorable Father’s Day gifts that show you’ve really thought about what he loves. Instead of the usual socks or gadgets, gift him a day filled with new skills, good company and stories you’ll both treasure.
How to spoil your dad on Father’s Day
Spoiling Dad is all about thoughtful moments and fun experiences. Here’s how to make his day extra special:
- Start with a homemade breakfast or brunch to kick off the day relaxed and cosy.
- Book a workshop that matches his interests—like a knife-making class for the handy dad or pasta making for the foodie.
- Give him a heartfelt card with his gift.
- If it’s a nice spring day, go for a lovely walk after your workshop, maybe you can stop in somewhere for a coffee or wine
- Reflect on the day and ask Dad what his highlights were. His answers could help you with next year's Father’s Day planning!
What to get for the Dad who wants nothing
Some dads are famously hard to buy for, they say they want nothing, but you still want to make the day special. The secret? Give him the gift of experience and quality time. Instead of clutter, choose something that sparks curiosity or lets him relax and enjoy himself. Think a laid-back whiskey tasting session, a scenic photography walk around Sydney, or a stress-busting pottery class where he can get hands-on and unwind. These gifts for Dad keep on giving, offering memories, new skills and stories to share long after Father’s Day is over. So skip the usual things and surprise him with an experience that even the ‘I want nothing’ Dad can’t resist.
